Changelog

  • broken: We explicitly identify substores inside of ~1,000 indoor malls. In such cases, parent_safegraph_place_id will list the safegraph_place_id of the place of interest that the substore is inside (for example, a Macy’s inside of a Westfield will have the Westfield’s safegraph_place_id as it’s parent_safegraph_place_id). Auxiliary mapping file listing every place that has a non-null parent_safegraph_place_id along with whether its centroid and polygon are more specific than those of the corresponding parent.
  • added: Approximately 7.5K POI now associated with a true building polygon (instead of a hand-drawn shape covering the parking lot). This affects POI across the following brands: Walmart, Kmart, Home Depot, Target, Autozone, Ace Hardware, Petsmart.
  • added: Improvements to brand identification.
