Highlights
- +148K new POIs across the globe 🌍
- +156 new brands across 67 countries 🌏

Enhancements
SafeGraph is delivering more POI each month in countries around the world. This month SG Places has a grand total of 41,817,815, including POI with or without geometry, closed POI and parking lots. This is a net increase of 148,833 places from last month, including:
- +83,603 in US 🇺🇸
- +20,248 in JP 🇯🇵
- +20,183 in GB 🇦🇺
- +6,337 in FR 🇫🇷
- +3,323 in MX 🇲🇽

Parking Lots
SafeGraph Parking Lots received a substantial update this month:
- Refreshed polygons for the United States
- Improved handling of large parking lots, especially those interrupted by streets
- 3 additional sources for area specific parking lots

We've added a grand total of 156 brands across 67 countries. Some of the highlights:

Brand Openings and Closings
- We rely on POI metadata to track store openings and closings, and we are especially interested in understanding open/close dates for branded POIs. It can take more than a month to infer open/close dates, so we report brand open/close metrics on a one month delay.
- In this release, we flagged 1,877 brands with at least one store closure in February 2023 and 1,942 brands with at least one store opening in February 2023:

The POI we've added this month span a wide range of categories, including the following additions:
- POI with geometry:
- Lessors of Residential Buildings and Dwellings (531110) with +44,969 POI 🏢
- Postal Service (491110) with +19,864 POI ✉️
- Supermarkets and Other Grocery (except Convenience) Stores (445110) with +6,496 POI 🛒
- Point-only POI:
- Commercial Banking (522110) with +15,968 POI 🏧
- Financial Transactions Processing, Reserve, and Clearinghouse Activities (522320) with +5,640 POI 🏧
- Couriers and Express Delivery Services (492110) with +3,828 POI 📮
Drops ⬇️
- We are ingesting many sources and due to source changes and processing changes, Placekeys do drop over time. In this release, we dropped 100,902 Placekeys (48,820 branded and 52,082 non-branded).
